SCAOHN

Greetings

Thank you to all who attended Wisdom in the Winery and special thank you to Kathy Coiner and Ellen Petersen for their organizational skills and putting together a successful program.  I think all of us who attended enjoyed it.

We will be sending out a Needs Assessment to our members and supporters.  Please take just a minute to complete the survey.

I want to thank Karen Cohen and CHR for sending out timely information on Occupational Health Nursing.  An article I think we should all read is on the new ACOEM guidelines for resuming fit testing and pulmonary function tests.

We are planning the next in person conference for Spring.  Date 4/14/23 at The Grand in Long Beach.  Would anyone like to help with that usually fun event?

CSAOHN has a new website:  csaohn.nursingnetwork.com   It’s worth visiting, there are free CEU offerings available that sound interesting.

It’s that time of year to get new volunteers for the SCAOHN Board.
Tangible benefits:
  • Paid AAOHN membership
  • Eligible for partial reimbursement for travel and accommodation to SCAOHN events, up to 2 events per year
Intangible benefits:
  • Holding a board position helps with leadership skills, time management, networking and expands your occupational health outlook.
  • Holding a board position will also help foster comprehensive knowledge of prevention strategies in occupational health and create relationships that can be subject matter resources.

Please e-mail or call if you are interested in becoming a member of the board….we need you!

Respectfully,

   Julie Rochefort
